Amazing Power in the Word of God - back from Prison

Update from Kairos MC#33
(picture from our Nicaragua Mission trip - Prison Prayer)

It was amazing and showed me just how very BIG and Powerful the Gospel is. We met with 36 inmates locked into a single building due to the status of this group, everything from life sentence, murder, thieves, addicts ,rapist, sexual predators, gang leaders ,etc. The darkest people you could possibly meet. Most of them had similar stories, no father growing up, sexual abuse, abandonment, addictions all a very young age. We spent the four days going through a series of talks (from the bible), interactions as small "family" groups and worship. We Listen, Listen and Loved, Loved on them with Agape love. The other common theme for many in this group of men, no one had ever told them about the God of the bible and showed them love with no strings attached.

Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the message of God's amazing Mercy and Grace was so very powerful that we began to see "life change" as the Hold Spirit entered the deepest parts, removing fears and pains of several of the men and changed them (from the inside - out). It was on the third day that we began to see more men, talking about their prayers, some for the first time in their life, to God and how He answered them. They are still living in a prison but several now have hope, not of this world but for eternity.

Thank you all for your prayers. I will be back at MCI this weekend teaching men how to gather in small groups to do "Prayer and Share", growing in the word of God and helping others to understand the life changing power of the Gospel. So keep praying...

God's servant, everything for His Glory,

Alberto

Prison Ministry - Kairos MCI#33

To my dearest,

I have a request for you over the next few days. We, 36 men of Kairos MC#33, will be going into Martin County Corrections prison for 4 days starting. We go to bring the Good News and saving power of the Gospel to a people that live and exist in the darkness and isolation of prison. Our Lord and savior has commanded us, "Teach them to observe all that I have commanded you" (Matt. 28:20), Jesus tells us in a word, "Go".

Jesus said, "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me." (Matt. 25:35-36)

Many will be praying throughout the weekend, that lives will be changed by the powerful word of our almighty God, that the Holy Spirit will be working to take away their heart of stone then replace with hearts filled with Jesus, flowing with living water of the Spirit, filled with light, we pray that our efforts will glorify God in advancing the Gospel.

The Apostle Paul wrote while in prison to the church in Philippi, explaining how God works all things to His plan..."and most of the brothers (in prison), having become confident in the Lord by my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear" (Phili 1:14). I pray that many will pray, share, surrender and become bold in the word of God as result of our four days in MCI and bring glory to the risen King of Kings, the name above all names, Jesus Christ.

I also pray for you and your families that your hearts may be filled with the joy and love of knowing the truth.

We will be using the simple Kairos approach....Listen, Listen, Love, Love.

"I assure you: Anyone who hears My word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life." (John 5:24)

Love from God's Servant, for His glory,
Alberto

In the beginning, God

One of the young men in our Sunday morning "Splash" sessions ask me this question. "If in the beginning there was nothing, how could God exist? How can I get me head around the fact that God always was there...but at the same time there was nothing?" I told him we need to investigate this question...

I have looked to the Bible as my first source and then I will seek the wise consul of others on my quest for an answer or maybe help lead this young seeker like all of us to a place where God himself can help reveal the fact that He loves us as His children and wants us to seek Him always.

So I seek to help and pray. Lord show me how to help, use me as your tool.

The Bible and I know the Holy Spirit, lead me to some important facts. First there is only one true God of the universe and he is the creator and sustainer of all things. Genesis 1.1 "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth." Hebrews 11:3 states, "By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible." So God created something from nothing. This is a hard one for an 11 year old and many others to understand that fact.

I am one of God's miracles, my life and testimony is proof to this and I know God does amazing things for us every second of everyday. He drives the "Love Story", pursuing us as His children always.

So if anyone can help us in our seeking the Truth, please comment. Faith, part of the free gift from God with His amazing Grace helps us understand that "in the beginning, God" is the truth and I pray that this young man finds what he is seeking...his Farther in heaven.

Keep Seeking....

Nicaragua Mission Trip - WOW

Team,

I wanted to say thank you to all of you and thank you for the effort put forth before, during and now after our journey together to Nicaragua. The power of the Holy Spirit and the way we all had to trust in our Lord and Savior to provide whatever was need at the exact time He wanted was obvious all during last week. The memories of the earth burning at the dump, smells, kid running around with little to no clothes, faith in Jesus everyday no matter what, joy of the children at the orphanages, playing games, building a home, giving freely, sharing everything, Tom's stories, kids faces at the schools, singing and worship....dance, the horror of the hospital, skinny dogs, lives suffering on the streets and in the jail, hearts of stone, pain, needs, suffering. Through it all we kept asking God "what do you want me to do next" and how wonderfully indescribable is His LOVE for us all.

I pray now that you all continue to stoke the fire that is burning inside us all and to listen and ask God "what next does your will have me do", the need is great but our God is greater as we all were so very bless to experience last week...Oh how HE Loves us!!!

Spark a fire in someone else today! God made it so easy for us in Nicaragua but I bet if we keep our focus on the love of Jesus in Stuart, Jensen Beach, PLS and wherever you live, you can find His opportunity to serve again.

I love you all!!! You are amazing gifts from God.

Blessing from your Brother in Christ,

Alberto

Mission Trip - Managua, Nicaragua

We have readied another short term mission team. Tomorrow 13 brothers and sisters in Christ head to Nicaragua to do our Lord's business. Is the team ready? Ready or not the enemy is ready. Every time I know we are getting out of this worlds business and close to the business of our Father, stuff starts happening. So why would this effort be different. The toothless lion roared this week, starting with challenges at work, dragged me into a internal struggle, got my blood rushing...I began to have that out of control feeling, the rush. Then Karen's step-dad died in Ohio, then several things started breaking at home, feeling sick - colds, then Karen's car gets hit by a truck , wrecks the side of her car, bangs her head, then my home office equipment stopped working, it goes on and on. BTW Karen is ok...Thank you God.

I know it is Satan, roaring about attempting to distract. So what do you do but pray. I think about what Jesus said, that "He in you is greater than he who is of this world". I pray for our team, and that we keep the focus on Gods will, not ours. I pray for the people of Nicaragua, Haiti, Chile and other lands of hardship. I thank Jesus for being with us always and thank God for His promises.

Then this Psalm came to me again. I have to post it later, it hit me with a strong dose of His Power...I needed it tonight. Ready or not, Spiritual Warfare here we come!!

I will post updates from the road on my Facebook, keep us in your prayer.

Jesus, our Redeemer Lives!!

In His Grip,

Alberto
