gLife Connexion is my new life journey, maybe not a true business but one thing is for sure "shift happens".
A great man I only knew for a short time showed me that "It's all good" and all we need is "love". This man had a family, wife and two boys but what was different about him was a heart as big as the ocean. When we met he was near the end of his battle with cancer and at this time I did not know how much he would influence my life change. Witnessing how this very sick man embraced life, he had a genuine passion to help others. This man, who had every reason in the world to complain (13 year battle with cancer), play the sick card (as he called it the "Big-C" card) or just give up….yet this never crossed his mind.
I did one simple thing as he was going to the west coast for bone marrow transplant, a trip he never returned from. I setup a website for his wife to update friends and family (she was on her cell 24x7) and setup his PC's to enable video calls between home and his Seattle hospital bed. It wasn't the fact of what I did as much as seeing the effect of "keeping families connected" through this life change, this new communication changed things, it was not just phone calls but seeing dad that helped them all.
Tom is still effecting people today……Through my daily walk I now look for opportunities to help families know my savior, Jesus Christ and through the skills he gave me "keep them connected" and maybe keeping together a little longer. My life has changed and I know that it is all part of God’s plan, using me as his tool to connect people, families and children. One of the current programs he has me working is "jumpstart tomorrow".
Jumpstart tomorrow is a non-profit teen workforce development company that is just getting started. With my experience in starting business units, I am helping a passionate guy make his dream a reality. The doors are open in Jensen Beach and we hope to have the first program focused on nursing skills start in the next 60 days.
gLife means to me a God driven life, Connexion is the bridge over traffic that we all need to connect, communication, collaborate with confidence through our daily walks.
